@ibxrun10 2025 was one of the hardest races of my @ibxrun10 2025 was one of the hardest races of my life. Definitely top ten. Which feels like the perfect balance to last year’s race being one of the most enjoyable and physically rewarding races.😅
•
But these days happen. I’ve been doing this long enough to thankfully know that I can’t let a horrible race rattle my confidence. They don’t feel good, but this sport is tough. 🫠
•
Sunday was a solid reminder that my sweat rate and sensitivity to humidity are just insanely high. As countless runners passed me, I chuckled at how much better they looked and probably felt than me. 
•
Any ego we can build? Nothing like racing to knock us down a peg, give us a reality check, or remind us that struggling and suffering happen when we toe the line. 
•
I am grateful to experience these moments of struggle and suffering. When we are uncomfortable, we grow. Here’s to the butt load of growth I experienced out there - may it fuel the next race. 🙃
I know tomorrow won’t be the day I had hoped it I know tomorrow won’t be the day I had hoped it would be, thanks to the forecast. But it’s not lost on me what an honor it is to have a seeded bib - and I am going to do my best and give my best in the morning. 

This is my ninth @ibxrun10 and so much has changed since I ran this event as my first race ever in 2010. I would have never dreamed I’d be lining up at the front of the start line of this race - and here we are.

Time to lace up, embrace the elements and see what I’ve got! Thank you @ibxrun10 being a big part of my running story.

A new perspective, a new coach, and a new race opportunity that includes the privilege of an elite bib and the perks that come with it. AND the ability to bring sweet Mozart with us.

As long as we can keep the hammy healthy, I know I have fast times in my future. The best part is the journey - day by day chipping away at fitness. Time to take up that axe and swing away. We’ve got a lot of work to do.

Warwick NY, a small farming town 50 miles outside Warwick NY, a small farming town 50 miles outside of NYC showed up today. It was great to see so many new faces and familiar faces in solidarity for Democracy. #handsoff
